He reports to Nick Hughes, global head of marketing and comms.
Williams will head the eight-strong press team at Knight Frank’s Baker Street office and be responsible for the company’s social media presence.
This is the first time that Knight Frank has created a role with a specific remit to address social media and link up with the online management team. Williams will also be looking for agency support.
Williams said: ‘Any PR professional with an interest in property would relish the opportunity to work at Knight Frank. The firm has an extremely progressive approach to marketing and PR, and is keen to ensure that this extends to social media.
‘We are already working on a new strategy for content generation using Knight Frank’s extensive research capability and its position as an independent property adviser.’
The firm currently uses seven agencies in the UK and 20 globally.
