PUBLIC SECTOR: bfi grows comms head role to raise profile

The British Film Institute (bfi) is on the hunt for a replacement for

Mark Batey, the head of marketing and press who has left to become CEO

of the British Society of Film. The chosen applicant will fill the

newly-expanded role of head of communications, which carries a brief to

raise the bfi's profile among various private and public sector

organisations, and to revamp its internal and external communications

ahead of a fresh push for capital to finance a major investment project

on London's South Bank. The post will report to bfi director Jon Teckman

and heads a five-strong team of PROs.
