easyJet claimed the Best PR Work accolade at the 2001 Superbrands

Awards. The airline, founded by chairman Stelios Haji-Ioannou (PRWeek's

European Communicator of the Year 2000), also won awards for the most

significant impact on its sector and most impressive brand developed in

the last ten years. Coca-Cola was named strongest Superbrand.
