UK credit reference agency Callcredit Information Group has hired Lucre to handle its consumer PR account.

The agency has been asked to increase brand awareness among consumers while positioning Callcredit as an expert in the field of credit lending.

Callcredit, which has offices in Bristol, Chalfont, London, Warrington, Kent and Leeds, provides consumer data and credit referencing services for businesses. It wants agency help to promote its services for individuals.

The business believes that this is when consumers, after their Christmas spending, should be using Callcredit to check personal credit reports and make sure they are protected against identity theft.

Lucre aims to handle the remit through a proactive media relations campaign around research-based news stories, expert opinion pieces and profiling opportunities.  

Sophie Spyropoulos, Lucre director, said: ‘Callcredit Information Group holds a huge wealth of data and expertise which we believe will deliver real insight to British consumers. We are going to help raise its profile and drive awareness in the media.’
