Cartwright, who moves from his position in the London office as chair of the UK technology practice, will also take over the role of EMEA technology practice head.

He replaces Tony Burgener, who left to become director of Swiss Solidarity. Cartwright will also be a member of the agency’s executive board.

B-M wants the Geneva office to serve as a hub for international companies seeking global comms support with the backing of the agency’s network of 92 offices globally.

Cartwright said of his appointment: 'I am delighted to take this new challenge on and to add my corporate, crisis and technology expertise to B-M Switzerland. As an international hub, we will have the capacity to serve our clients globally and provide them with the best of B-M in any country they need communications support in.’

Before B-M, Cartwright was MD of Harvard PR, the Bell Pottinger company. Before this, he held board positions at Brands2Life and Bite Communications.
