INTERNATIONAL: Connolly to head global PR for Tommy Hilfiger USA

NEW YORK: Fashion giant Tommy Hilfiger USA has named existing

global marketing head Peter Connolly as its new worldwide president of

public relations.



Connolly's role has been expanded to cover all communications for the

Tommy Hilfiger Corporation subsidiary, under the new title of president

of worldwide marketing and communications.



Reporting directly to Tommy Hilfiger and CEO Joel Horowitz, Connolly now

has a remit to oversee public relations, marketing, advertising and the

firm's online venture, tommy.com.



'We have been actively evaluating our internal organisation to assure

that we best leverage our resources,' said Horowitz.



'With Peter's appointment we will bring together a number of related

functions under his leadership providing a more integrated approach to

all of the company's marketing and communications-related efforts.'



Hilfiger added: 'Peter will play a critical role in our brand's

continued evolution and growth while assuring we deliver a cohesive and

consistent image around the world.'



Connolly brings over 20 years' experience of marketing and

communications to the role. He joined Tommy Hilfiger three years ago.
