Gatecrasher brings VF1 back into the fold

The Sheffield super-club Gatecrasher has rehired VF1 Publicity two

years after dropping the agency.

In the interim, the club has used in-house PRO Louise Kovacs, who joined

from VF1, as well as London youth agency Slice PR. Kovacs has now left

Gatecrasher.

Wolverhampton-based VF1 takes control of UK and global public and media

relations for both Gatecrasher, and sister-club Bed. Fees are worth six

figures.

Gatecrasher managing director Simon Raine said: 'VF1 has always

delivered proven results for us, and there was no other agency capable

of handling our requirements.' Gatecrasher began as a club night, but

the company now owns the host venue, Republic, and has released a series

of albums through Sony Music.

VF1 managing director Gerard Franklin will handle the account, reporting

to Raine. The agency will work with overseas affiliates to promote a

100-date international tour.
