Columbus drafts in FWD; ReputationInc hires practice lead.

Columbus Direct Travel Insurance, part of the Collinson Group, has appointed FWD to handle its PR. Collinson is a travel insurance specialist with brands including Columbus Direct, the International Airline Passengers' Association, and Priority Pass, the world's largest VIP lounge access scheme.

ReputationInc has launched an internal reputation practice this week with the hire of Nuno da Camara, formerly research fellow and client director at the John Madejski Centre for Reputation at Henley Business School, to lead the division. Da Camara is an organisational psychologist specialising in corporate reputation and previously was a corporate affairs adviser in the financial services sector.

Jupiter Energy, the AIM and ASX-quoted oil exploration and production firm focused on Kazakhstan, has brought in Allerton Communications to advise and support its comms activities.

BDO, the accounting firm, has recruited Fishburn Hedges associate director Nicola Conron as head of external comms. She had been at Fishburn since 2002 and became head of recruitment in 2010.

Kedco, the waste-to-energy provider, has turned to Abchurch to raise its profile within the environmental and financial press. Kedco is based in County Cork and is listed on the AIM market in London.

Kreab Gavin Anderson and Scotland-based comms agency Liddell Thomson have signed a collaboration agreement to develop the businesses in Scotland and internationally. The Liddell Thomson Consultancy becomes a Kreab Gavin Anderson co-operation partner, joining its worldwide network.
