New MD for Woolley Pau.

Woolley Pau Gyro has appointed Ed Shorthose as MD. He joins the healthcare agency from advertising and comms firm TBWA Paling Walters, where he was managing partner, running the domestic and global business for clients including Pfizer, Roche and GSK.

THe PR Office has been called in by The Odysseus Foundation, the first UK-based charity to tackle breast and cervical cancer in developing countries. Over an initial six-month period, The PR Office will develop and implement a PR campaign aimed at introducing potential donors to the charity's work.

Lilly UK has promoted Thomas Thorp to the role of senior director, corporate affairs. Thorp joined Lilly in 2007 as Brussels-based European government affairs manager. Richard Ascroft, formerly Eli Lilly's head of corporate affairs in the UK, has been appointed to a new position of senior director, corporate affairs, for Australia, Canada and Europe.

Janssen, the pharma firm, has linked up with the NHS Confederation Mental Health Network to launch a social networking site for GPs to help them commission mental health services.
