East Lindsay District Council has brought its comms and consultation functions together, to be headed up by team leader James Gilbert. The move follows a corporate management review within the district council.

The Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales is leading a three-year outreach campaign, including a pilot campaign to get people back into the pews for Christmas. The Roman Catholic Church in England and Wales launched the campaign in York at the weekend, with Crossing the Threshold, a national tour of talks and workshops to help clergy and parishioners re-evangelise friends and family.

The Write Angle has been awarded the contract to promote local festival the Preston Guild 2012 by Preston City Council. The Chorley-based agency will work closely with the guild team to publicise the unique, historic festival that dates back more than 830 years.
