Open Road brings in ex-Insight Public Affairs director Andrew Hobson

Former Insight Public Affairs director Andrew Hobson has returned to comms in a new healthcare role at Open Road.

Hobson joins Open Road’s expanding healthcare practice as associate director, following a year studying at New York University for a masters degree in Public Administration.

Before his year away to study, Hobson worked at Insight Public Affairs as associate director, where he specialised in health and social care policy.

He has previously worked at Foresight Communications, for the Labour Party and had roles at the Greater London Assembly and with Ivor Caplin MP and the Rt Hon Jack Straw MP.

Commenting on the appointment, Open Road chief executive Graham McMillan said:

‘Andrew is joining at a very important time for the agency. Our healthcare practice has grown significantly over the past year and we have a strong new business pipeline.’

In his new role, Hobson will initially be concentrating on new business development.
