What is it good for?

A hearty lunch or dinner brought to you by friendly staff in a relaxed atmosphere. There are several small tables outside for sunnier days and booths inside for the colder months.

Signature dish

All sorts of meatballs - chicken, pork, beef, lamb, all sourced from a top-notch local butcher - with a choice of carbs and greens on the side. Try the chicken meatballs and the sweet lemon posset with homemade shortbread for dessert.

There is also a weekly guest meatball and courgette balls for those not keen on meat.

Who's the boss?

Hugh Fowler and his wife Shelly (the brains behind Cafe Pasta, Prospect Grill and Hamburger Union) opened Meatballs at the end of August this year.

Tips please

Order a takeaway and bring it back to the office - it's a great-value alternative to a sandwich.

What's the damage?

A three-ball portion is £3.95 and sides start from just over £2. Desserts are under £5 and wines start at £2.95 for a glass of white Sicilian.
