Cronin has been at the BBC for nine years, most recently as deputy editor of the BBC business news website. He has also been a producer and reporter for BBC World service business programmes, and features editor for the BBC World Service radio business programmes.

As a result of the restructure, Lansons Live’s head of broadcast, Pernille Sahl Taylor, will step up to jointly head the business, alongside Cronin.

Lansons’ chief executive, Tony Langham, commented: ‘We were one of the first agencies to offer specialist broadcast and content production services and we know that the latter is an exciting area with huge potential for growth. Jon will manage and look to develop all of our content production work going forward, including filming, webcasting and podcasting, along with introducing some new services over the coming months.

‘This allows Pernille to focus more on growing the broadcast consultancy and media training we offer clients. The team works with many of Lansons' existing clients but is increasingly picking up its own broadcast briefs with the likes of Avon and TravelSupermarket.com, and this is something Pernille will be looking to further build on in future.’

He added that Lansons Live had been ‘growing hugely’ over the past 12 months, and had seen income rise by 20 per cent since the start of this financial year.

Langham continued: ‘Being independently owned means we have been able to invest and grow our business at a time when many other companies are not able to do so. We hope to make further additions to Lansons Live and other parts of our business over the course of the next six months.’

Lansons Live was launched in 2007, and has its own studio with audio and recording, editing and multimedia facilities.
