INTERNATIONAL: F-H marks Aussie debut by affiliate agency purchase

SYDNEY: Fleishman-Hillard has acquired its Sydney affiliate

Stratcom Communique, marking its debut in the Australian market.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.



Stratcom, a financial, corporate and consumer agency, is understood to

be among Sydney's Top 10 PR agencies with over pounds 2m in billings and

35 staff.



F-H, led by CEO John Graham, adds the agency to its existing eight Asia

Pacific offices. The firm will rebrand as Fleishman-Hillard

Stratcom.



Founding partners Tony Rasman, Julianne Dowling, Jonathan Raymond and

Hayden Cock will continue in management posts, with Rasman reporting

directly to Pam Miracle, F-H regional director and SV-P in

Singapore.



The three-year-old company was formed by the merger of Melbourne-based

Stratcom Consulting and Sydney partner Communique Public Relations. It

has conducted work for Hong Kong's Pacific Century CyberWorks during its

affiliation with F-H over the past year.
