Edwards departs Skoda to assume Seat UK PR remit

Car manufacturer Seat UK has named Juliet Edwards as head of

PR.

Edwards joins from fellow Volkswagen subsidiary Skoda, where she has

worked as a PR manager for the past six years.

She has worked within the VW group throughout her career, in a

commercial vehicles and sales role prior to moving into PR. She

described herself as 'very familiar' with the industry, and said her

main task now was to 'get to grips with the (Seat) brand'.

Edwards fills a six-month vacancy created when her predecessor Wayne

Bruce left the firm for Nissan.

She assumes a brief including public affairs, corporate and consumer PR,

leading a team of three and reporting to Seat UK director Kevin

James.

Refusing to comment on the position of any retained agencies, Edwards

said it was 'too early to say' whether or not the brand would be

reviewing its approach to external PR support.
