Neil Henderson joins as executive director, media, to take control of the agency’s media division. He joins from the The Red Consultancy, where he was head of broadcast.
Before joining Red, he worked as a journalist and producer at ITN, BBC, CNN and Sky.
The agency has also hired Nick Bishop as executive director and strategist to lead its corporate team in London. Bishop was a senior associate at Gardant Communications, where he moved from Speed Communications in March.
Lastly, Kristen Lazur becomes a director in the consumer team after a period of freelancing at Hill & Knowlton and previous work at the Disney Channel, Blue Rubicon and MSL.
The appointments are the first senior hires under its new ‘g4’ model that is built around four teams of specialists; strategists, creators, catalysts and connectors.
Henderson commented: ‘This is a great opportunity to bring new specialist skills to this renowned brand at a pivotal time. The London team has already won awards for creative campaigns and media impact but under the new model and my "connector" leadership, we are pushing boundaries, moving seamlessly between earned, owned and paid-for media.’
Bishop joins as a ‘strategist’ working alongside international president Jonathan Hughes. Lazur is a ‘catalyst’, reporting to Bibi Hilton, head of consumer.
GolinHarris said that its consumer division had grown 35 per cent this year, while the agency itself is experiencing double-digit growth.
The appointments follow the promotion of Jonathan Hughes and Matt Neale to presidents, international, earlier this month. The former European co-MDs were handed additional control of Asia as part of a global leadership team shake-up.
