Launch Group expands consumer team with raft of senior hires

Launch Group is expanding its consumer offer with the senior appointments of Kevin Gannon and Sara Tidy.

Gannon joins the agency from APCO Worldwide and will become consultant director at Launch, working on BP’s Olympic sponsorship and Tesco’s CSR community portfolio. He formerly held roles at both Edelman and MS&L.

Tidy, who worked at Launch from 2001 to 2007 before joining the BBC, rejoins Launch as director and will work across Tesco, General Mills, Capital One and Bourne Leisure.

Meanwhile, Gemma Young joins the agency as senior account manager in the consumer team, joining from MHP, and Lucy Watts joins the agency as senior account executive, working across both digital and consumer accounts.

Speaking about the appointments, the agency’s CEO Johnny Pitt said that it signalled ‘exciting and ambitious times’ for the agency.

Last week, Launch Group was named as one of PRWeek’s ‘Best Places to Work’.
