Create launches PR arm

Create Marketing Group has launched a specialist healthcare PR agency that will offer comms support across the healthcare arena, including pharmaceutical, diagnostics and the NHS. The agency will be overseen by healthcare specialist Hayley Knight, who will act as head of PR. Bristol-based Create Marketing Group was founded in 2004 to provide healthcare professionals with marketing support and advice.

Algeta, a biotech firm that focuses on cancer therapeutics, has appointed Dr Mike Booth to the newly created role of senior vice-president of comms and corporate affairs. Booth joins Algeta from investor relations and strategic advisory firm Trout International in London. He begins his new role on 17 October and will handle Algeta's global corporate comms.

Bupa's head of customer PR and events Rachel Roe is leaving the private healthcare provider to join PR consultancy Twelve Thirty Eight. She starts in October and will be Twelve Thirty Eight's campaigns director. She will report to Twelve Thirty Eight MD Hamish Thompson.
