Disney seeks agency help to reposition its gaming division

Disney has been in talks with UK consumer agencies as it seeks to reposition its gaming division.

Disney Interactive Studios is understood to be moving its focus away from traditional console-based games and towards online, social media and mobile products.

Vice-president, comms, content and media Joss Hastings played down the discussions but confirmed meetings had taken place, and that a formal pitch process could follow.

One agency source told PRWeek that the account was worth 'big money'. Disney Interactive does not currently have a retained agency.
