Higher presence for on-line firms

Higher presence for on-line firms

The on-line public affairs community holds a higher profile than in previous years. Politicsdirect.com used the conference to launch its link-up with Dutch ISP giant World Online, for which the agency will provide a politics channel.

Epolitics.com sponsored the chains on which delegates' security passes hang, as well as having a stand in the exhibition hall. Yougov.com, the Bell-Pottinger supported e-democracy firm run by Jeffrey Archer's former PR man Stephan Shakespeare, restricted itself to leafleting delegates, but boasted of product endorsements from all three major party leaders.
