A glittering array of winners at the PR Week Awards

easyGroup boss Stelios Haji-Ioannou has been named as the European communicator of the year in the PR Week Awards 2000. He was voted as the winner of the award by a panel of 40 PR industry judges.

easyGroup boss Stelios Haji-Ioannou has been named as the European communicator of the year in the PR Week Awards 2000. He was voted as the winner of the award by a panel of 40 PR industry judges.

The campaign of the year was the aborted maiden cruise of P&O's Aurora superliner, by Shandwick International. This also won the crisis management campaign award, and was commended in the Proof Award, won by Manning Selvage and Lee for its Saving Upsets campaign for the Health Education Authority.

Edmund King, RAC executive director, was named as the PR professional of the year, and Firefly was voted the consultancy of the year.

Citigate Dewe Rogerson won the financial award for Granada Media's IPO.

This category was judged separately by a panel of financial PR experts.

Among the other awards, Midnight Communications was the best small consultancy, and Iceland Foods was the in-house department of the year.
