PRCA elects 2011 PR Council to face industry issues

The PRCA has elected its second PR council of senior industry practitioners, which includes Burson-Marsteller CEO Matt Carter and MSL Group CEO Kelly Walsh.

The PRCA PR Council was launched last year, with a remit to discuss the issues PR people are facing and help inform the future of the PR industry trade body.

Other new names to join the council include TUI comms director Christian Cull, Action for Children head of PR and engagement David Hamilton, Nelson Bostock chairman Martin Bostock and Ogilvy MD Stuart Smith.

PRCA chief executive Francis Ingham said: ‘The calibre of the PR Council members is remarkable. Collectively they are some of the biggest names in our industry.’

Council members will be able to vote for the three Executive Council positions of chairman, vice chairman and secretary from 22 August to 2 September.
