MEDIA BRIEFS: Ex-Bizzare deputy to edit Smash Hits

Smash Hits has announced its next editor is to be Emma Jones. She is currently deputy to The Sun's Bizarre section editor Dominic Mohan and joins emap's teen pop magazine in May at a time when circulation is falling. Jones said her tenure would 'combine adult wit with good, old-fashioned pop'. Known for celebrity scoops at the Mail on Sunday and The Sun, she said she will also bring more gossip and showbiz exclusives to the title. In the last ABCs Smash Hits dropped eight per cent year on year to 221,000.
