STRATEGY AND PLAN
Major broadcasters were invited to a press conference. A temporary radio studio was built and a satellite truck stationed onsite for interviews with UK, US and international broadcasters. A live feed was broadcast to absent media, major golfing websites, the PowerPlay Golf website and Facebook page, and a live interactive web TV show ran on sport, news and lifestyle websites.
MEASUREMENT AND EVALUATION
Interviews were secured with broadcasters including CNN, Sky Sports News, BBC Radio 1 and Al Jazeera. The announcement was also covered online on sites including ESPN, CNBC and Sky Sports.
In the first four minutes, the global launch received 100,000 online viewers, far surpassing the target of 10,000 during the hour.
