PUBLIC SECTOR: Westminster Strategy lands Medical brief

Public affairs agency Westminster Strategy has been appointed to handle the General Medical Council's political intelligence brief. A four-strong team, headed by director Jane Cooper, won the account to carry out work at Whitehall and the regional governments of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The agency reports to Andrew Ketterington, director of communications, and Patrick McGuirk, public affairs manager, during the one-year contract.

Westminster Strategy previously worked with the GMC during the passage of the Fitness to Practice legislation last July.
