CPR Worldwide has bought out healthcare agency Jerry Parsons Associates, absorbing it into a newly-created consumer healthcare division.
Founder Jerry Parsons stays on to head the division, called CPR Empower, alongside CPR's UK division director Robin Gallon.
They report to Scott Clark, CPR Worldwide group joint CEO, and Steve Carroll, CPR Worldwide director.
Parsons takes his three-strong team, account director Joanna Asbury and account handlers John Shaw and Naim Fergurie, with him.
They will move from their base in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, to CPR offices in Abingdon, Oxfordshire.
The buyout means Parsons clients, including Unilever and ICI, will now be represented by CPR Empower, as well as existing CPR clients, including GlaxoSmithKline.
Parsons, who started his agency ten years ago, said: 'This venture enables me to carry on explaining scientific messages to the consumer, but on a bigger scale.'
Healthcare specialists CPR Worldwide launched in 1993 and was bought six years later by Fleishman-Hillard.
