Meanwhile, former Fleishman-Hillard lobbying boss Kevin Bell has been putting his own gardening leave to good use - by hosting a drinks reception on the terrace of his rather nice riverside flat. As we revealed online, the bash was to launch 'Conservatives in Communications'. A mole tells us that the new group's chairman Lord (Guy) Black used his speech to stress that it would be far bigger and better than the Lib Dems' equivalent offering. Flack was contacted this week by an amused Steve Falla, chair of the CIPR's Channel Islands group. While trawling through wealth management news website The Wealthnet, he spotted the headline: 'Spain's Duchess of Alba gives up fortune to marry PR man'.
