The agency will be working to launch the classic suede Bluebird trainer, which was originally popular in the 1980s. The trainer will be launched on 13 August.

Puma continues to use EdenCancan for retained PR. However, as PRWeek reported in May, when former EdenCancan head of consumer Jonathan Kirkby left to launch Instinct PR, he brought with him the Puma TrainLite sports/fitness shoes brief.

Mercieca also handles an element of Puma’s PR.

Puma has stopped working with Modus Publicity, which handled the Puma Sport Fashion account, featuring collaborations from designers such as Alexander McQueen, Yasuhiro Mihara and Sergio Rossi.

EdenCancan was appointed by Puma UK in 2009 to work on its lifestyle accounts, including its archive and women divisions.
