PUBLIC SECTOR: Hillier lands Kensington and Chelsea role

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea has recruited Andrew Hillier as interim director of communications. He oversees a team of six and reports to chief executive Derek Myers. Hillier is the borough's first director of communications. The role was created as a response to increased media activity by the council, which this month launched its website. Hillier left City of Westminster Council, where he was head of public relations, two years ago to take up consultancy work.
