He will report directly to CEO Brendon Craigie and will oversee the three companies that make up the Hotwire Group: Hotwire, Skywrite and 33 Digital.

Benvie launched Hotwire's digital PR agency 33 Digital in 2009. He was previously a director at Hotwire, an account director at Lewis PR and an account manager at Bray Leino.

Benvie said: ‘As overall head of our three UK businesses, I am looking forward to working across our specialisms and a big UK team. I'm looking forward to helping realise our vision of digital and social media being integrated completely throughout our PR service offering.

‘I’m now going to be making trouble not only at 33 Digital but at Skywrite and Hotwire towers too.’

Craigie added: ‘Digital is at the heart of everything we do. Drew is one of the UK's most respected authorities on digital and has helped take Hotwire Group to number 3 in the PRWeek digital rankings during the past two years. It now makes perfect sense to have Drew at the centre of our business.’
