PUBLIC SECTOR: CVCP rebrands as Universities UK

The Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals has launched a rebranding campaign - changing its logo and name to Universities UK (UUK). Director of external relations, Lesley Perry - who joined UUK four months ago on leaving the role of press secretary to the Archbishop of Canterbury George Carey after nine years - leads the relaunch team. She reports to chief executive Diana Warwick, who unveiled the new name last week. Perry works closely with brand and information manager Alison Leahy on the changes. She said the change mirrored the huge shifts in education legislation over the last decade, such as the rise in the number of universities.
