MEDIA BRIEFS: World Service in audio download deal

BBC World Service has signed a deal that will allow its content to be used within a personalised audio-on-demand format. The BBC will work with Voquette, using the US firm's proprietary software to record audio content on-line for playback later on portable devices such as MP3 players. The deal will allow customers to select BBC World Service programmes available through the Voquette web site, which can be automatically downloaded on a regular basis.
