BORDER LINES: GCI & Gcom-Kaufmann merge

MEXICO CITY - GCI, led by president and CEO Bob Feldman, will merge its existing Mexican operation with newly acquired Gcom-Kaufmann to create GCI Mexico. It will be headed by Gcom founder Oscar Kaufmann. Forty people will staff the newly combined offices in Mexico City. Kaufmann said the merger will enable the agency to move from the top 10 to the top five in the region. The agency's combined client list includes Michelin, Eli Lilly, Procter & Gamble and Durex.
