Launched in April 2008, Blinkbox receives more than 2 million visitors per month and the company has amassed a catalogue of over 9,000 Hollywood films.

The sevices also hosts a selection of TV content, from studios including BBC Worldwide, Warner Bros, Universal, Paramount and Twentieth Century Fox.

In April, supermarket giant Tesco announced that it has acquired an 80% stake in Blinkbox from Eden Ventures and Nordic Venture Partners.

The fast growing video service, available online, through Sony Playstation 3 and internet connected televisions, will soon be available direct to compatible devices from LG, Sony and Samsung.

Following a pitch process, Shine has been tasked with developing a consumer media education campaign to raise the profile of the service and begin work immediately.

Shine director Lawrence Collis said: ‘The opportunities that exist in the online video delivery market for 2011 means that Blinkbox is entering a hugely exciting period and we are thrilled to be a part of the campaign.’

Blinkbox has previously worked with Deliberate PR that was appointed in December 2009 to develop a campaign to demonstrate the ease and practicality of the service.
