Boots UK launches consumer pitch process out of Lexis PR

Boots UK is launching a consumer pitch process thought to be worth over £1m.

The high street pharmacy chain owned by Alliance Boots has launched the review, which currently uses Lexis PR. Boots is thought to be Lexis’s biggest-paying client.

A spokeswoman for Boots confirmed the process was under way: ‘This is a standard best practice review to ensure that Boots UK is fully supported in the future to deliver against its business objectives.

‘The aim is to complete the process by the end of the summer and the brief will go to a selected list of agencies, including Lexis, which has the specific credentials that meet Boots' needs.'

The pitches are expected to be taking place in July. The company has been working with Lexis for four years.

The news is not expected to affect the chemist’s other agencies.
