PUBLIC SECTOR: Peters new marketing head at EEF

The Engineering Employers Federation (EEF) has appointed Dr Ian Peters as its new director of marketing and external affairs. Peters is a media and political lobbying specialist, and is currently deputy director of the British Chambers of Commerce. He joins EEF in mid-January next year, and replaces Jeremy Miller, who is leaving the organisation after four years to start his own PR consultancy. Peters will report to EEF director-general, Martin Temple. His brief is to raise the profile of engineering and manufacturing. He will also work closely with regional development agencies.
