Ministry of Justice director of comms Clare Harbord has been appointed as BAA corporate affairs director. She joins BAA's executive committee, reporting directly to CEO Colin Matthews. Harbord was replaced last month at the MoJ by Pam Teare, who has taken the newly expanded role of director of comms and information.

NHS Coventry head of comms, engagement and equalities Simon Dudman has made a jump to the private sector with a new role at Midlands agency Ice. Dudman, whose role is director of health and lifestyle services, has seven years' experience with NHS Coventry.

LGcomms launched a guide to social media for local government communicators at LGcomms Academy on 24-26 May. The guide has been endorsed by social media marketing group CrowdControlHQ as acting 'as a catalyst for the development of social media activity'.
