Land Rover has re-appointed Harrison Cowley on an extended brief in the wake of the 4x4 manufacturer's sale to Ford for pounds 1.8bn last year.
The original lifestyle and dealer remit has been extended to include celebrity, film and TV product placements.
HC was invited to repitch alongside other agencies. But, according to Land Rover global product communications manager Andrew Roberts, following the agency's repitch the account was awarded directly to HC before a formal pitch process got underway.
A team of 18 work on the brief throughout HC's ten office network.
Land Rover has handed its global head of communications programmes role to David Fulker, current manager of PR programmes and events. This follows the departure of Bill Baker to join the company's US base to become vice-president of corporate communications for North America.
