Peregrine shakes up internal structure to put clients first

Peregrine Communications is undergoing an internal restructure as it places more emphasis on research.

The corporate and b2b agency has also promoted two senior consultants to partner level. Peregrine's internal structure has historically been based around two teams - alternatives and mainstream asset management. It is now to restructure around clients by creating bespoke teams in accordance with client needs.

CEO Anthony Payne said: 'We're investing a lot more money into research. We believe you've got to understand who the ultimate audience are - what they're reading, what influences them and how you get to them.'

The restructure also involves a round of internal promotions. Senior consultants Karen Wagg and Paul Wynne have been made partners and Max Hilton has been promoted to senior consultant.

The three promotions were made in conjunction with two new roles being created; chief talent officer and head of research. A new client account manager, Imran Khan, has also been brought on board. Khan has joined to further Peregrine's work on hedge funds and structured products. He was previously a consultant at Bell Pottinger.
