BORDER LINES: Clap takes Jospin press role

PARIS - Isabelle Clap has been appointed press secretary to French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin. Clap previously help a similar position at the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, where she headed press relations for the then Minister Christian Sautter. Before taking on her new position, she was head of institutional PR for Euro Disney at its Marne-la-Vallee headquarters. Besides heading press relations for the French PM, Clap will also serve as Jospin's technical adviser on the press and his candidacy for the French Presidency, with new elections due in May 2002, when he is expected to run against sitting head of state Jacques Chirac.
