PUBLIC SECTOR: Grain gears up for move into publishing

The British Retail Consortium, which only recently boosted its Westminster coverage with the appointment of Charles Anglin as new head of parliamentary affairs, is now looking for a new director of communications. Ann Grain, the current incumbent who has been in the post for three years, is moving into a publishing role at the end of October. The job reports to new director general Bill Moyes and heads a communications team of two. The body, the self-styled voice of British retailing, is also currently looking for a press officer for the post vacated in July by David Southwell.
