PUBLIC SECTOR: Jennings takes RNID deputy chief post

In a bid to reinforce its campaigning and lobbying strengths, the RNID has taken on Peter Jennings in the newly-created role of deputy chief executive. Jennings's remit includes the 50-strong communications directorate at the charity which has a new head, Brian Lamb, who joined as director of communications at the beginning of September. Jennings joins from a five-year stint at Marie Curie Cancer Care, where he was marketing and fundraising director and he will report to RNID chief executive James Strachan.
