Opinion: Letters of the Week - Scottish Development International is delivering value for money

It's disappointing that Scottish Development International (SDI) wasn't approached for a response to the article about our international inward investment brief (News, 8 April).

SDI works hard to sell Scotland internationally with the aim of attracting new foreign direct investment into Scotland, creating and safeguarding jobs and contributing to the Scottish economy.

Last year SDI attracted £500m of international investment into Scotland, and in recent months we've seen significant investment by companies including Amazon, Toshiba and Mitsubishi.
