PUBLIC SECTOR: ActionAid hunts for media relations head

ActionAid, one of the UK's largest charities trying to wipe out Third World poverty, is seeking a new head of media relations following the departure of Simon Bottery. Bottery left last June to join the National Association of Citizen's Advice Bureaus, taking up its newly-created head of communications role. He served five-and-a-half years with ActionAid as its head of press and publications. The charity is restructuring its press and fundraising operations, and the new head of media relations position has been created to further raise the UK media profile of the charity.
