City PR outfit WMC Communications has won a global account worth over pounds 200,000 to handle worldwide PR for New York risk analysis company Measurisk.

City PR outfit WMC Communications has won a global account worth over pounds 200,000 to handle worldwide PR for New York risk analysis company Measurisk.

The four-year-old niche player won the brief, previously handled in-house, following a competitive pitch in the US.

WMC is to oversee all PR for Measurisk. WMC chairman David Wynne-Morgan heads the account from the UK, alongside New York office director Allan Priaulx.

'This means that our New York office, set up only nine months ago, represents nearly 30 per cent of the pounds 1.5m annual billings and is growing rapidly,' said Wynne-Morgan.

Wynne-Morgan - former Hill & Knowlton CEO for Europe - launched WMC in 1996 and merged the company with MD Alex Glover's agency, The Financial Word, last year.
