Prxchange, the freelance PR match-making company, has expanded its offering with the launch of an online service and has also changed its name.
Now trading as xchangeteam, the website will run as a complimentary service, rather than replace the existing business.
'We will be maintaining our personal service but a lot of what we do can be done more efficiently on the internet,' said CEO Emma Brierley.
The site is split into specific areas for clients and consultants. The former includes advice on how to brief freelances and includes examples of past work.
The consultant element of the site aims to further the 'community philosophy' the company has sought to build through social events. This includes an online magazine and discounts for relevant services including Durrants, Holmes Place and Majestic Wines.
Brierley stressed that perspective freelances will still be interviewed face-to-face before being added to the database.
According to Brierley, the name change reflects the organisation's move into freelance requirements for related disciplines and the fact that many clients, especially those in-house, felt that PR is too narrow a term and refers essentially to media relations.
