BAA chief on 'media hell'

The outgoing head of comms at BAA has spoken candidly about handling the media during the Christmas 'snow crisis', saying the experience brought him close to tears.

As reported on prweek.com/uk, Malcolm Robertson will leave the airport operator later this year. His successor has yet to be announced.

In an exclusive interview carried out before he announced he was stepping down, Robertson told PRWeek: 'The memories are still raw ... You can't take the criticism personally but it is frustrating seeing people who have no experience of handling this situation saying what they would have done better.'

The full interview is published in the enclosed Crisis Busters supplement.
