In addition the f-commerce shops popping up on the social network, Warner Bros has developed an application giving users the ability to digitally rent films directly through Facebook . Now movie fans won’t have to trek to the video shop only to find that the film they wanted to watch is out of stock. Warner Bros Digital Distribution is the first of the movie distribution companies to test this new platform. Using Facebook credits, consumers can choose to either rent or purchase a digital download of their film of choice and watch it instantly through Facebook.

10 March - When you hear the phrase 'internet censorship', does China usually spring to mind? Of course it does. The 'Great Firewall of China' has had a long and very public history. China's policies are strict, but most countries connected to the internet conduct some level of internet censorship. This could be anything from the obvious, such as blocking porn sites, to restricting access to religious or political blogs and even social networking sites in some regions.

10 March - As we've heard over the past few days, AOL has started implementing layoffs across its properties in the wake of the Huffington Post acquisition. We've confirmed the firings with AOL and here is the breakdown of the numbers and where the layoffs will take place. AOL will be letting go a little more than 200 US employees, 120 of which are editorial staffers.
