ONdigital, the digital pay-TV platform, has boosted its six-strong

PR team. Marcus Agar has joined as consumer PR manager from Freud

Communications.

He will report to director of communications Jessica Mann, as will Mark

Woods who has joined from Press Association as senior PRO. Both are new

positions. Freud said it had no immediate plans to replace Agar, who was

talent liaison director.

Mann said the decision to expand the team from six to eight reflected

the growth of ONdigital since its launch 18 months ago. It now has

670,000 subscribers and sees itself as a ’significant rival’ to Sky.

She said that Agar’s role would be ’to support the brand and commercial

message’ while Woods would bolster the group’s press function. Further

recruitment to the communications team was likley, she added.
