Allergan, the contact lens care company, has appointed The SPA Way
to handle PR for two of its brands: Refresh and Complete. The account
was awarded following a four-way pitch. Amanda Cooney, group product
manager said The SPA Way’s guaranteed media coverage schedule, in which
it will work for two months for free if the promised media coverage
hasn’t been delivered within six months, had led Allergan to transfer
some advertising budget to PR.
